THE ETERNAL HEADONIST
Monday, 24th October 2017
So here’s something not many of you know about me; I’m a trained milliner. Yes ma’am! After completing my BA in Fashion Design at RMIT I continued on studying millinery and then headed off to London where I worked with acclaimed milliner, Katherine Franklin Adams.
And here’s another beautiful fortuitous reason why last night’s event was personally so special; The Eternal Headonist store is situated in the historic and monumental Georges Building on Collins St, a building I frequently visited whilst studying when it was the once lavish and opulent Georges Department Store.
A boutique showcasing works from one of my favourite art forms in one of my all time favourite Melbourne buildings, you can only imagine I was utterly caught up in a hypnotic dazzle!
Melbourne needed a store like The Eternal Headonist which celebrates the artistic expression through headwear. Housing some of our favourite local milliners, it’s a must visit! I would almost describe it more like a gallery than a store.
A special thank you to Annabel Alien and Kyra Pybus.
